    Description

International Bidders are welcome to participate, I am offering eBay’s Global shipping on this listing.
1949 National model TV-7W  tabletop 7” TV. This has the later production cabinet that has original factory holes with metal plugs and guides to accept the optional magnifier with its adjustment rods. The chassis is an early style one without the large transformer this is the way I bought it, can't tell you if National packaged it this way or it was done at a later date.
Cabinet is complete with the exception of the simple perforated metal back. Cosmetics are fair to good with some rubs here and there and the finish is lifting. As you can see in the pics below there is uniform wear to most of the cabinet but not much wear to the all-important face. My thoughts were to refinish the top and sides to match the face as close as possible to make it more attractive. I just don't have the time these days to do any refinishing so I am offering it up for sale.
The chassis is mostly all-original, unrestored and has all the tubes. I also see just a few very old repairs to the underside. I see the low AC house voltage transformer is not there, it was only used for house voltage below 115 which is not a factor today and was hardly a factor back in the 40's. Speaker cones have just one small tear to the top of the right one. I did not test the electronics or any of tubes including the 7JP4 picture tube. The face of the picture tube has some scratches. One of the knobs is loose on the "Vertical" replacement switch, just needs a shim.
    Comes as shown, the
    simple
    perforated
    metal back
is missing. I am selling this TV as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns. The important thing is the chassis is all there with no known missing electronic parts so it is valuable as a true antique or can be restored if desired.
The picture tube may work perfectly or not at all. If you don’t want to take a chance on it, that is fine with me. I will subtract from the final sale price.
TV measures 12 1/2” tall, 21” wide, 17” deep and weighs 35 lb.
Box will measure 17” tall, 26” wide, and 22” deep and weigh 45 lb. when packed.
Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost and FedEx Ground shipping (cheapest/ best handling ground service) will cost .00. There is no charge for my packing labor.
The pictures below are of the actual vintage TV I am selling.
