Vintage Gold Watermans Ballpoint Pen marked “1/30 10K R.G.P. U.S.A.” circa1954

Description

This is a vintage (c1954) Watermans ballpoint pen.  Around the top of the gold barrel is the imprint: 1/30 10K R.G.P.  U.S.A.  The clip has WATERMANS in stacked characters.
This is the earliest Watermans ballpoint and it uses a unique push button at the top to expose the ink tip.
The pen is slightly longer than 5” at 133mm and the barrel is 8mm.
From an appearance standpoint, the pen is in good condition with only one ding that is visible in the photos.
The push button is quirky and needs some adjusting.
The pen is being sold “as is” and non-returnable.
Look carefully at the photos because they are part of the description.
The Titane/Titan refills with a flair rim at the top top are no longer readily available.
However, there are YouTube videos available and messages on pen collector forums on how to simply cut off the plastic top end of a standard Cross refill - which will work in this pen.
It and a large number of pens were donated by the estate of a collector to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work and sell on eBay items which would not readily attract in-store buyers.
